Introduction

Rainbow Confectionery Ltd. is a New Zealand owned & operated company based in Oamaru and specialising in the manufacture of starch moulded confectionery, including:

gums and jellies,
marshmallows,
chocolate enrobed products,
grained marshmallows (fondants),
and sour confections.

We supply customers in the Route & Retail trades for both local and export markets.

Our focus is to produce high quality confectionery at a competitive price, and we follow an HACCP based plan to acheive our food safety objectives.

The company was founded in June 2001 when a multi-national food company relocated part of its confectionery operation to Australia, vacating the site.

After newly equipping the factory, Rainbow was established by re-employing the skilled staff left behind, and was manufacturing within 3 months.

We currently employ 40 full time staff, increasing to 70 during peak periods.
